Who We Are

Porter Haworth is an Architectural Technology practice founded in 2005. Our offices are in the historic sea-side town of Lyme Regis in West Dorset. We are currently a Chartered Institute of Architectural Technolgists (CIAT) affiliate whilst working towards attaining Chartered Architectural Technoligist, MCIAT status.

What We Do

We provide architectural services. That means we design new buildings and extensions to old ones, we come up with ideas for refurbishing properties, reconfiguring and converting them.

We work with residential and commercial properties, listed buildings, holiday accommodation, beach huts and public conveniences (we are particularly proud of the last one).

How We Do It

We provide a service for every stage of your project, seeing it through from inception to completion. We can design, apply for statutory permissions like planning permission, add technical details, help you find and engage a contractor and supervise the build; an end to end solution.

This process is usually phased into planning; building regulations; tender; contract management and site supervision.

However, we understand that not every client wants, or has the budget for our input at every stage, so we are happy to tailor what we do as appropriate. Which means you can cherry pick phases that suit your needs.

Geographical Area

West Dorset, East Dorset, North Dorset, East Devon, Mid Devon, South Somerset, and North Somerset are our main areas of operation. We have also completed projects in London and the home counties.
